Here is a little about me. I am the Founder and CEO of the Reach Mama Network. I’m a mama of two precious kiddos and the wife of a dapper husband. I deeply believe that it’s important to share the stories of moms of color as they navigate careers and life. I do it via my events and my podcast called Reach Mama.
I am deeply committed to helping women succeed in the workplace. I am also the Founding Partner at OpenAccess, a boutique talent strategy firm helping companies discover, develop and promote women leaders.
My passion for helping others started while working in government. I have over 15 years working in all levels of government - The White House, US Senate and City gov - and I’ve seen firsthand the importance of having women and moms in leadership positions.
At the Obama White House, I lead the Congressional Affairs and Outreach/Recruitment efforts within the Presidential Personnel Office.
I honed my policy chops in the U.S. Senate as Senior Policy Advisor for New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Department of Energy and in local government for the New York City Comptroller's Office. I’ve has also worked on numerous political campaigns including two presidential campaigns (Obama 08' and Kerry 04').
In my spare time, I love giving back to my community. I serve on the Community Advisory Panel for KQED Public Media and on the board of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley.
I feel so grateful that my family, especially my two daughters, were able to join me in the Oval Office for a picture with President Obama.
